Dot IT Domain Names

Established in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-specific TLD is very popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing creative and catchy domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to construct an easy-to-memorize domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to return to your website or to give it with coworkers and pals. The TLD can also be used for a website, which is linked to the information sector because IT is an abbreviation, which is accepted all over the world.

Considering that dot IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry organization that controls this extension, such a domain can be booked through a third-party service provider, such as ours. You can register a .IT domain for no more than one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to us and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. The only requirement is that the person booking such a domain must be situated in a country, which is a member of the European Union.

Since there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of different regions and localities in Italy reserved for local 3rd-level registrations, new names that include geographical regions of any sort are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not support such 3rd-level domains, though, considering that they can be registered only by locals.
